What a life of fruit. yum

Hi, our school as you may know is a fruit health promoting school where everyday two or three of the room 6 kids go around each class getting their class fruit buckets and bowls. Then they go to the hall and fill all the buckets and bowls up and take them back to their classrooms. The fruit buckets are for fruit break and the fruit bowls are for when students get hungry during class or at lunch time. We get about 3 kinds of fruit every day. Every day is a different range of fruits.
Thats a little about our fruit promoting school.

About the principal

I cant tell you our principals name but I can tell you..............
that he is very good at Singing and writing up interesting plays, especially for our production that we had this year. At singing each week you can mostly only hear his voice because his voice goes BOOM BOOM but really nice sounding. He is very good at acting and always sets up good assemblys each week.

Wellington Camp 2007

hi.on the last week of term 1, 2007 the year 7 students went to wellington for their exciting camp.It took about 4-5 hours to get there from Waverley. But we slept nearly the whole way. In Levin we stopped for lunch at the park. When we got to wellington we went straight to the Youth Hostel where we were staying for 3 nights. On day 1 we went to McDonalds for dinner, and we had a very yummy dinner. Then we got our togs and went to Upper Hut and had a swim at the H20 Extreme Splash Centre for about 2 hours. On day 2 we went to the young Leaders Conference, lots of schools turned up but we were the smallest because there was ony 3 of us.The leaders conference was about 1 hour long and 4 talented adults came and talked to us about what they have completed in their lives. It was very fun..........I learnt alot. That night we went to Pizza Hut in Upper hut for dinner then went for a swim at H20 extreme Splash centre AGAIN.On day 4 we went Kayaking and Rock Climbing. It was really fun. Then we went on a small ferry to Somes Island which was very interesting and had lots of nature. Then we packed up all our gear and travelled back to Waverley.

About Waverley Primary School

Hi I am a year 7 at a small school, named Waverley Primary.Waverley Primary School is in New Zealand, South Taranaki. There are about 132 students and we have a really nice principal who is very good at singing and playing instruments. Every Friday at 2:30pm we have a half and hour assembly. Where each week, a different class shows the parents and other classes what they have been learning. Also lots of students get awarded certificates. We have a thumbs up award where each week 2 students get their names drawn out of a big jar and get to choose something from the goody basket. At the end of the term all the winners that got their names pulled out each week go into a bigger jar and 4 people get drawn out to go to McDonald's with the principal. We also do fitness in the mornings, we do Jump jam, Skipping, Tag games, Relays, follow the leader and lots more. Last week on the 11 of September we had our 1 hour long school production called THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND ADVENTURE.It was a awesome performance, and lots of people showed up to watch it. Every term all the students, choose Duffy books that they would like and at the end of the term every student gets the books they have chosen. Usually two books each. The sports that our school plays, are netball, rugby, soccer.
